INTRODUCTION:
The bookings market in sports betting focuses on disciplinary actions given by the referee, such as yellow and red cards. Instead of predicting goals or match outcomes, this market allows bettors to wager on how many cards will be shown, which team will receive more bookings, It is especially popular in football games.
Today we are going to use Liverpool Vs Atletico Madrid as our example for this market option:
Bookings 1X2:
With this option, you predict which team will receive more cards during the match. It works just like the normal 1X2 (Match Result) market, but instead of goals, the outcome on this option is based on cards.
Now for example, Liverpool Vs Atletico Madrid, For this case, Liverpool is the home team and Atletico Madrid is the away team.
If my pick was Home with odds of 3.40, my bet only wins if Liverpool collected more cards than the away team which is Atletico Madrid.
If my pick was Draw with odds of 4.20, my bet only wins if both teams collected the same number of bookings in this match.
And lastly, if my pick was Away with odds of 1.80, my bet only wins if Atletico Madrid collected more cards than the home team which is Liverpool.
NOTE CAREFULLY: In some cases, you will encounter matches that have a red card and just to be clear, a red card counts as 2 bookings (2 yellow cards).
For example; Liverpool Vs Atletico, you might find that Liverpool had 2 yellow cards but Atletico Madrid had 1 yellow card and 1 red card. This means in total Liverpool has 2 bookings and Atletico Madrid has 3 bookings because the red card counts as 2 bookings (2 yellow cards).
2. 1st Booking:
With this option, you predict which team will receive the first booking of the match. This can either be a yellow card or a red card.
If my pick was home with odds of 2.17, this means my bet wins if the home team receives the first booking of the match.
If my pick was None with odds of 30.00, this means my bet only wins if there are no bookings by the end of the match.
If my pick was away with odds of 1.65, this means my bet wins if the away team receives the first booking of the match.
3. Exact Bookings:
With this option, you are predicting the exact number of bookings in the whole match. But it is very important to remember a red card counts for 2 bookings ( 2 yellow cards)
For example:
If my pick was 0-3 with odds of 2.05, and Liverpool Vs Atletico ended with just 1 yellow card and 1 red card, this means my bet wins. Why?? Because a red cards counts as 2 bookings, meaning the match will have ended with a total number of 3 bookings.
If my pick was 7 with odds of 11.44, this means by bet only wins if the total number of bookings in the game was 7. For example, 3 yellow cards for the home team and 4 yellow cards for the away team. And maybe 5 yellow cards for the home team and a red card for the away team. And so on and so on..
4. Sending Off:
With this option, you are predicting if the match will have a send off or not.
If my pick was Yes with odds of 4.90, meaning if during the match, there is a send off, your bet wins.
And if my pick was No, this means my bet only wins if there is no player sent off during the match.
5. Home Sending Off:
With this option, you are predicting if the match will have a send off for the home team or not.
If my pick was Yes with odds of 8.00, this means if during the match, there is a send off for a Liverpool player, your bet wins.
And if my pick was No, this means my bet only wins if there is no player sent off for the home team during the match.
6. Away Sending Off:
With this option, you are predicting if the match will have a send off for the away team or not.
If my pick was Yes with odds of 6.80, this means if during the match, there is a send off for the Atletico madrid player, your bet wins.
And if my pick was No, this means my bet only wins if there is no player sent off for the away team during the match.
7. Ist Half Booking 1X2:
With this option, you predict which team has the highest booking by the end of the 1st half. This can either be a yellow card or a red card.
If my pick was Home with odds of 3.95, this means my bet wins if the home team which is Liverpool has the highest bookings by the end of the 1st half.
If my pick was Draw with odds of 2.22, this means my bet wins if both teams have the same number of bookings by the end of the first half.
And if my pick was Away with odds of 2.60, this means my bet wins if the away team which is Atletico Madrid has the highest bookings by the end of the 1st half.
NOTE CAREFULLY: Just to be clear, a red card counts as 2 bookings (2 yellow cards). And it should be considered under this option.
CONCLUSION:
This market adds an exciting twist to football betting by focusing on player discipline rather than the outcome of the match. It is a high risk yet a high rewarding market option to consider.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
