Introduction:
In volleyball betting, the ‘sets’ option refers to bets placed on individual sets within a match rather than the overall outcome.
Below are some of the options under the Sets option:
1st set-point Handicap:
Home (-2.5) and Away (+2.5):
Home (-2.5): With this option, The home team must win the 1st set by at least 3 points for the bet to win.
Away (+2.5): With this option, The away team can lose the 1st set by up to 2 points and still win the bet.
1st set- Winner:
Home and Away
Home: You win if the home team wins the 1st set, regardless of what happens in later sets.
Away: You win if the away team wins the 1st set, regardless of the final match result.
2nd set- Winner
Home and Away
Home: You win if the home team wins the 2nd set, regardless of what happens in later sets.
Away: You win if the away team wins the 2nd set, regardless of the final match result.
3rd set- Winner
- Home and Away
Home: You win if the home team wins the 3rd set, regardless of what happens in later sets.
Away: You win if the away team wins the 3rd set, regardless of the final match result.
4th set- Winner
- Home and Away
Home: You win if the home team wins the 4th set, regardless of what happens in later sets.
Away: You win if the away team wins the 4th set, regardless of the final match result.
5th set- Winner
- Home and Away
Home: You win if the home team wins the 5th set, regardless of what happens in later sets.
Away: You win if the away team wins the 5th set, regardless of the final match result.
1st set- points O/U:
Over 45.5 and Under 45.5: With this option, it is a combination of the total number of points scored by both teams combined in the 1st set.
Over 45.5: The total points in the 1st set must be 46 or more.
Under 45.5: The total points in the 1st set must be 45 or less
1st set- Odd/Even:
Odd and Even: With this option, we are determining whether the total number of points scored by both teams in the 1st set will be an odd number or an even number.
Odd: The combined score of both teams in the 1st set is an odd number (e.g., 25–22 = 47 points, which is odd).
Even: The combined score of both teams in the 1st set is an even number (e.g., 25–23 = 48 points, which is even).
CONCLUSION:
This option allows you to bet on specific outcomes related to results of sets in a volleyball match. It offers more specific and potentially higher risk options compared to standard match winner bets; this appeals to bettors looking for greater odds. Though such options require you to have a solid understanding of a team’s performance.
